You get what you pay for
The pump grate works as it should, as it was designed. But it is not as good as the maxi loader grate by worx.. You get what you pay for.

Word of caution
The rebuild kit is awesome. But, do not use the supplied float spring. (It’s stiffer than the original)
Re-use the old spring.
My ski ran lean, which caused the engine to run away, unplugging the spark plug boots had no effect. Luckily the ski is stock and it still had the mechanical oil pump!! I did also have the hose on to cool!
