I WAS TOLD BY A FRIEND THAAT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD PHONE FOR ME, AND HE WAS CORRECT. THIS PHONE HAS MANY VOICE COMMANDS AND SERVICES WIHICH MAKE IT A MUST HAVE FOR BLIND OR VISUALLY IMPAIRED INDIVIDUALS. THIS PHONE ALLOWS YOU TO CHECK, ADD OR ERASE CONTACTS WITH JUST THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE. YOU CAN ALSO CHECK THE PHONE STATUS AS WELL. IT ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE CERTAIN MODES WITH VOICE COMMANDS. KEYPAD CAN BE SET TO SPEAK NUNBERS IN A CLEAR VOICE. YOU CAN GO TO VOICEMAIL SIMPLY BY COMMANDING THE PHONE TO GO THERE WITH YOUR VOICE. SPEAKER IS IN THE FRONT OF THE PHONE. IT IS VERY CLEAR AND LOUD. WHILE I NEVER USE THE WALKIE TALKIE, IT IS ALSO AN OPTION. THIS IS A RUGGED PHONE. IT LOOKS GREAT, I'VE BEEN TOLD. IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS BLIND OR VISUALLY IMPAIRED, THIS IS THE PHONE TO GET. I USE MINE ON A DAILY BASIS. I NO LONGER HAVE A LAND LINE PHONE. THIS PHONE IS EXCELLENT FOR PEOPLE ON THE GO. BATTERY LIFE IS BETTER THAN NORMAL. IF YOU PURCHASE THIS PHONE AND DON'T INTEND TO USE THE WALKIE TALKIE OPTION, DISABLE IT AT THE SPEEDTALK MENU. I WAS TOLD BY A TECH THAT THIS WOULD PREVENT ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE TO THE PHONE. I DON'T KNOW HOW TRUE OR FALSE THIS IS, BUT, IT'S NOT A DIFFICULT THING TO DISABLE OR ENABLE. HAVE FUN WITH THIS PHONE, USE COMMON SENSE WHEN DRIVING.

1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased this phone on Ebay. It is a very good phone, easy to use, average size for a straight phone. Good speaker phone. What is really cool is that you can change the faceplate and battery door to many different collors with out any tools. You can also shange the keypad. The phone can always look like a brand new phone without any scratches. Since it is a Nokia, it will work for a long time. My son-in-law is a tech for a local wireless provider, and he says that Nokia phones are the least brought back for repair. For those of us that like to back-up our phone info, this phone is great when used with Nokia pc suite, a free download. I hve owned many cell phones, some with many more options, but, I really like the back to basics approach Nokia took with this model. Good phone no matter your age. I have a red chrome faceplate with a silver keypad on my phone, and I always get noticed when using it, if you don't mind the attention.

Great sent for every day use, last about 6 to 7 hours. Very pleasant not overwhelming.
