5.0 aptX HD HiFi Bluetooth Audio Receiver Burr Brown DAC replaces Audioengine B1

Perfect addition for a vintage stereo system!

I love this device! I was looking for a device to stream music from wi-fi sources to my vintage 2.1 stereo system and seemed to be stuck between really cheap devices ( $50) which I expected would not have a decent DAC, and expensive audiophile devices ($500 to much more) that seemed like serious overkill. This product hit the mark...excellent range, easy connection to a vintage reciever, and a DAC that appears to have bit of quality engineering. I was torn between this and the Audioengine B1, which appears to be the gold standard for what I was seeking, but twice the price. Luckily, there was a video posted on Youtube comparing the two just before I placed my order, and the BluDento did very well, so I went with it. It took a month to arrive, but other than that I'm thrilled with it. I've been able to do head-to-head comparisons between music streamed over this unit and played from both a CD and vinyl LP, and this thing really holds up. The clarity and dynamics seem equivalent to my ears. It's a bit more open and airy, a bit less warm and rich, but not in a negative way. Overall, a great little device at a nice price!
