Simple Snap-Together Model But It Looks Great!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a very simple model to build, it's just 4 or 5 pieces that snap together. I did have a little trouble with that and had to do I tiny bit of filing to make it connect a bit easier but that was very minor. I don't want to built a full blown model and all the other cheaper ones looked really bad. This one looks really good too me and didn't cost a fortune. If you just want to have nice little Saturn V model (about 12 inches on the base) this is the one.
Note: The lighted stand in one of my pictures does NOT come with the kit. I built that myself.

Very Useful Envelope Generator.
Great little envelope generator! I find the release time kind of short, even when adding additional voltage to the input but otherwise it does what it is supposed to do and can be fairly snappy! Building it only took a few hours and was mostly easy. Definitely recommended!

Roland SH-1000 - Synth with Bite!
Personally, I like the sound of old synthesizers but I wasn't sure if this one would be all that useful to me. But this synth has that 70's sound with the added feature of divide down technology that allows you to have the one oscillator sounding in 5 different octaves at the same time giving it the sound of a large multi-oscillator modular synth.
Keep in mind it is somewhat limited. There is only one oscillator, one LFO, no MIDI, no patch memory, and just generally not many features at all. But if you like that sound the only way to get it is with the older gear.
I should also add that a synth this old will need repairs. They do break down fairly regularly and it can be costly to fix them. Also, custom chips are hard to find so at some point they can be permanently gone.
Still worth it though, in my opinion!
