One of the best budget rods for decades

The new version of the ugly stick seems to be a nice improvement visually and performance wise. Great rod for under 40 bucks. I've been using ugly stick ultralights for as long as they've been around. I fish for crappie, but have caught a 5 pound tiger muskie, 6 pound bass, a 8 pound channel cat, and even a 10 pound northern pike using the ugly stick ultralight. In all these years, the ugly stick has never failed. Never broken. I still have the first one I ever bought many years ago. Ugly stick is the way to go for dependability at a good price.

Fantastic quality reel

This is a fantastic reel. What else could it be from a pflueger/ Fenwick partnership. It's normally on a combo I believe, but I got this reel seperate. I've never seen one before this one. I'm sure the combo would be great. And if you can get this reel at the price I paid for it, you should jump on it. Great quality, great looking reel.
