Great book. I recommend it for anyone who wants to quit!
2 of 2 found this helpful This book was a humorous approach to quitting smoking, written by a former heavy smoker. He discusses an Easyway to quit smoking, and explains that quitting smoking doesn't have to be difficult. Wait, what? Everybody says it's the worst thing you could go through, harder than raising a child, getting that great job, paying off a mortgage, or finding your perfect spouse. But Allen Carr says it isn't. Why? His explanation makes a lot of sense.
I actually quit prior to reading the book but reading it helped me stay motivated. Interestingly enough, the book suggests you continue smoking while reading it and quit after you finish so you get the most use out of all the tips and tricks. It is a cold turkey method but I think the information can be easily applied to any method one uses.
I purchased it originally for my wife who is having a harder time of it than I am, but she has not read the book or quit smoking yet, so I can't vouch for the efficacy of the method by itself personally. However, I have read all over the internet that many millions of people have successfully quit smoking using the Easyway. If you purchase the book used, it's super cheap, so what have you got to lose besides a habit that causes a lot of problems in your life? It's been 26 days smoke free for me and I'm very happy. The main lesson you learn in the book is "You don't gain anything in your life by smoking. Not smoking gives your your life back." Good luck!

Solving Crimes with Science, One Case at a Time
I've watched Forensic Files for many years but even before I got rid of cable, I noticed TruTV kept playing the same ten or so episodes over and over again. They played those episodes so often I could recite the words verbatim. They weren't playing new episodes either. Once I decided to cut the cable umbilical cord, I couldn't see any episodes, since they aren't on Netflix or TruTV.com. These DVDs allow me to get my Forensic Files fix at my convenience. I only wish they had all the episodes available on DVD. It is the ultimate classic scientific crimefighting show.

Helps with my female balance.

I didn't know what to do about it, because unlike yeast infections, there aren't any ways to prevent it. Or so I thought. My doctor recommended probiotics. I'm skeptical of OTC vitamins claiming to fix anything at all, especially since the claims are not usually backed up with scientific research, but I thought it couldn't hurt. I needed one that was shelf stable because I can't remember to take a pill I have to keep in the refrigerator.
Enter Ultra Probiotic. Not only is it shelf stable, it's actually affordable, and you only need one pill a day, which is a good thing because I already take a lot of meds. I ordered it and have been taking it for over a year. I don't know if it's a cure but I haven't gotten an infection since I started it. I got my spouse to take it for gut issues too. It also has more organisms than most, so it's a very good value.
