Does Just What It Should
We used these as sample containers for a "flavor tripping" evening (using miraculin-containing tablets to temporarily block acid receptors on the tongue, giving interesting changes to the flavor of sour and acidic foods). Some of the foods we used were liquids, including stout, vinegars, yogurt, buttermilk, etc., so these little guys were just right for our purposes.

Good for my non-shower purpose
I use shower caps (including these) as an additional water barrier when immersing springform pans while baking cheesecake. These are large enough even for a 10-inch pan, and survive well enough to do that job once - then it's disposal time.

Functional; not really properly designed as a replacement.
This functions as it needs to, but doesn't work as a drop-in replacement. For my grill, the depth of the receiving hole in the replacement knob is not deep enough to allow it to fit as close to the grill body as it should, nor to nestle within the surrounding bezel as the original does - it rather leaves a significant portion of the shaft exposed.
