Be careful or you'll get HOOKED on the Stone Barrington series

Works great in my 1,500 gal Koi pond
I live in the Florida panhandle where we typically get 4-5 days of freezing temperatures every year, sometimes as low as 19 degrees. I have a 1,500 gal pond next to my office door that has 13 Koi and hundreds of tropical fish. I've been running three 500-watt aquarium heaters in the pond over the winter to keep the water temp above 60 degrees. If the water dips below that temp, most of the fancy tropical fish (Angle Fish, Groumies, etc) die a quick death. Koi can take freezing temps, but tropicals don't. When I put this new heater in the pond, the temperature was 69, and within a few hours, it was up to 73. Last night, it got down to 43, but the water never got colder than 70. I'm impressed. I would recommend this product to anyone with a large tank or small pond.
