Faria GP2113A Spun Silver Series Boat Fuel Gauge

inaccurate gauge reading

Ohm meter reads correctly when arm is moved to full position but gauge only reads 5/8th full. Also the red back ground light does not match the original faria gauges I have. Removing the red film over bulb yields a white light. The original gauges had a light blue case to give color tone. This fuel gauge has a white case.
