Good Value but poor quality.
I saw this listed as the Spec D exhaust (the same as the one catback sold on Subi-mods etc. for over $800). I was going to wait and save up for the likes of a real Invidia R400, but this deal seemed great. I got the kit from K2 in a very quick fashion. The exhaust was easy to install using the Grimm speed 3 inch downpipe adapter and took no longer than an hour. The exhaust looks great and sounds even better for a sub $500 cat-back. However, that is where the good ends for me. My 18 WRX is stock ride height and I have not bottomed out the car once, yet there is rust at just about every single flange. I cant quite tell yet if its the gaskets that were included, the hardware that was included, or the exhaust flanges. Whichever it may be, its really unfortunate that this kit is rusting after only 2 months. Its even more disappointing being that its supposed to be 304 stainless which should be pretty tough. This also seems to be a clone of the Spec D which is already a clone of the Invidia. If that is the case and this isn't a genuine Spec D then that makes this all the more disappointing considering it is advertised as Spec D brand. The photos show Spec D engraved into the tips, but mine are plain steel. All in all, pretty disappointed and would not recommend this kit. Save up and buy one from the more reputable brands on dedicated Subi websites.
