Not 8.5 feet tall
2 of 2 found this helpful Measured with a measuring tape, my ceilings are 8.5 feet tall. This product is 2 feet shorter, measuring in at 6.5 feet. If I narrow the tripod feet as far as they will go, making it very unstable, it is still 1.5 feet shy from touching my ceiling. One of the images of the product shows a measurement height of 8.5 feet tall; this is not possible.
