Good if you have any LGA771 slots open.
I got two of these chips for an old server that I tinker with. They work well and are about as powerful as the slot they are in allows them to be. That being said, these are old tech. If you are actually building a server, I recommend something newer. I rated them highly because for what they are and when they were released, they're pretty good. They also have VT support for virtual system services, which can be good for those of us that use multiple virtual instances.
They do not have hyper-threading. For further technical information, I recommend reading the Intel ARK profile of these chips to further acquaint yourself with them.

This card works great.
I got this card for an older system with USB 2.0 ports. It was a great improvement. I run Linux on that system and was surprised that there was native support in the kernel. Installation boils down to sliding the card into the slot and plugging in a device. It was so much simpler than I expected.
If you have an express card slot and need USB 3, I highly recommend this.

A Fantastic Writing Tool.
I own a lot of writing instruments and tools. I have a Freewrite, which is great in the office, but not extremely portable. I have an Alphasmart Dana, but the battery life is bad because of the Palm OS. The Alphasmart Neo 2 works for weeks on a few AA batteries, provides a great experience without any attention vampires (browsers, messengers, etc).
If you want something that's cheap and portable to seriously write with, that you don't have to be at the mercy of an outlet for, this is the best option I'd refer. (Even compared to something literally worth 20x the price.)
If you don't want to sync this to a computer (it works like a USB keyboard with storage and a screen), you can also use the basic print drivers and send a draft direct to paper. This would be handy if you're making script notes for videos and want quick references on paper or are making quick notes for a class.
To sum it all up, it's a great value for simple, distraction free writing. I highly recommend it.
