Today I begin a new review on the popular Shure SM58 Cartoid microphone.
This review is especially important because I am reviewing it as a full time traveling musician and music promoter. I have been in the business for over 35 years, playing venues such as Disney, Knott's, Magic Mountain and other southern Cal Entertainment locations. I am currently a Drummer/Promoter for a popular group in Central California, and play on a very regular basis with reoccurring venues at upper class resorts and eateries. I am not at liberty to divulge these venues but just know they are legit and they are upper class.
Now let's get to the review.
The Shure SM58 I own is replacing the popular drummer microphone, the Shure SM 10a headset Mic. I replaced the SM10 because our group has three to four singers using SM58's and the SM10a headset simply could not deliver the power to mix well with SM58's. We are using a higher cost Bose PA sound tower with a Yamaha 12 channel stereo mixer capable of 400 watts RMS.
This microphone has turned out to be a God send. It is very dynamic with little Pop or high end treble slop when singing jazz pieces. The on mic switch is helpful between songs that don't require backup and it's overall size and weight can be supported by the lower cost mic stands. My recommendation is to secure a Hercules mic stand however and make sure you have a three legged stand. Stay away from the round bases unless yu are M.C.ing or you are a lead singer with no instrument.
This microphone is not as loud as some of it's competitors, but for the price it can compete mainly because of the crisp bite and versatility.
Right now you can pick this mic up on EBay for around $55-60
but if your patient, you can get it for less.
Be sure to ask the seller for the history of the mic and try to get one from a smokeless home, studio, or stationary use. Microphones loose there value when they are used on the road for long periods.
I will add more in the future. Please leave positive ratings and I will do more research for you.

A different massager, better
More powerful. Deeper massage. Less than professional brand but little difference.

PRIME All Foam RC Profiler ARF
1 of 1 found this helpful Very nice Kit.
I ordered this kit to replace a home built 30" WS low winger so I could fly it at home over our park.
This kit came clean right out of the box. It is a simple build although the instructions are some what confusing. The author calls the Elevator and rudder horns "SERVOS". As you can see the instruction are only going to help you if you can decipher the photos included. Even though they are bad, I was able to assemble the kit in less ta an hour with Expert experience behind me. It is a beautiful aircraft. The foam seems durable and the paint scheme is fantastic. It is lighter than my 29" which is interesting. Make sure you get plenty of foam glue and a little epoxy. There is a lot of carbon fiber rod installing so that your time and lay each wing/stab on a flat surface to do it. Use 5 minute epoxy to glue in the motor mount, but make sure to mount the electric motor to the ply wood mount before you glue the mount in. It will make screwing the motor to the mount easier. I substituted pin hinges with a built in control horn for their paper rudder hinges. I would use some other stronger hinge with your installation as well. Just make sure to build each piece on a FLAT surface and the plane will turn out straight.
