A better choice
I bought two of these tubes and four tubes from another seller at a lower price, the same day. When I installed them, I found that these tubes were superior in many respects. First, everything about them seemed of higher quality, including the materials and the construction. They even weighed more. The other tubes are a higher color temperature and this meant that these tubes appear white, while the others are much more blue, The difference makes the light from these tubes easier on the eyes, even though they seem brighter. (These tubes are rated at 5000 degrees K, which is classified as "daylight".) Both types of tubes are rated at 18 watts and I have not tried to measure the actual current draw. I found it interesting that these tubes are powered from one end, while the others need to have the line run to one end and the neutral to the other, which means that I needed to rewire the fixtures different for the two types of bulbs. This has been my first foray into the world of LED tubes and they are clearly superior to the fluorescent lights they are replacing, running cooler, brighter, quieter (no 60-cycle hum), and more efficiently, so I will be replacing the rest of my existing tube lights and I will definitely be using these tubes from now on. The only negative is that I wish this vendor would tape multiple tubes together so that shipping could be cheaper. Each tube was shipped as a separate item, so there is little savings available when purchasing in quantity. When the shipping is added in, these tubes are about the same price as they are at the local big box store. Do note that these tubes require the fixture to be rewired. If you are not knowledgeable enough to do this yourself, or if doing your own electrical work is not legal in your area, you might want to consider the direct replacement type instead.

Great Little Light
These lights are small, but powerful. I've picked up several. Turning them on and off is easy, just push the entire light, which causes the on-off switch to engage. The light remembers its last setting, so you don't need to cycle through a bunch of flash settings that you never use. Legendary Cateye quality is obvious. The only issue may be in finding a place to mount it. It throws no side glare, so it can sit on the front of a handlebar or fork blade. It has a fairly wide angle, so you don't need to have it parallel to the ground to be effective. Just a great little light. Update: A follow-up, after five years of use. The sealing ring between the battery cover and the light has a tiny diameter and deteriorates with age, leaving the light more susceptible to water infiltration. Also, the plastic tabs on the cover are fragile and break easily. I still like the lights, but I don't think I would buy any more unless they were very inexpensive, as they are a bit too delicate.
