Great rod and value
This rod has been a great caster, with solid hook sets. I paired it with a Lews xfinity 30 series reel, using 8# Pline floroclear. I have been very happy with its sensitivity, I can feel everything a jig bounces over, and can easily feel light strikes on fast running spinners and leech rigs jigged along a shelf. Casting ability and hooksets have been superb as well, it seems to be a great all around rod, and has become my go to. I also Really like having the hook keeper behind the reel, I usually cut them off, or heat shrink/ tape over them on my higher priced rods because they are always in the way. I have nothing negative to say about this rod so far, great product and price.

Crkt hawk cover
Light and durable, it covers cutting edge well. Stitching seems solid and straight, easy on-off using thumb on leather strap extension past snap. A little pricey compared to some alternatives, but in my opinion, seems a lot less bulky. Heavy construction should provide years of use. I am very happy with this cover over all, and have purchased a second one, after using the first one for a few months.
