Didn't Hold Up

About 3/4 of the way thru a midsized SUV the clay started falling apart. It was sticking to my hands a lot, to the point where it was separating from the bar and just staying on my hand, and would leave what looked like blue crumbs on my car. I used Nanoskin Glide as the lubricant, which according to many detail sites is a good product to use for this. And I did use a decent amount, enough to keep the surface slick. I'm no pro detailer, but it seemed like the lubricant broke down the clay bar, but I can't be certain.
