Outstanding Alto Sax
This is another high quality musical instrument from Yamaha. It has a good solid feel with great intonation and tone. I've had a Yamaha flute for 25 years and I can see myself playing this saxophone that long as well. You could spend more, but why?

Don Ellis At The Fillmore
Don Ellis was a wild man as well as an excellent trumpet player and innovator. This is a great example of Don's musical concept...time charts! He could take out of the ordinary time signatures and get them to swing. If you went to a three legged race that turned into a hoe-down you'd have "Pusywiggle Stomp". You could almost dance to it! If you were listening to jazz in the late 60's and early 70's you heard Don Ellis. As a player, I still enjoy the challenge. As a listener, it took me back. You might not like every track, but the energy at this live performance was incredible.
