Boring read

I bought this book because the movie was not available to stream. Both "sounded" interesting. The reviews on this book were wonderful! The story....was NOT!! It's over 800 pages long & half way through I was STILL waiting for something....anything to happen, it didn't. The ending,however is indeed a surprise. I read quite a bit & this one rates right up there with some of the least enjoyable!

Great ghost story

This is a well written good old fashioned ghost story! That thankfully has not a thing to do with Vampires or werewolves. The main characters are likable, the storyline is easy to follow & moves right along with just the right amount of "things that go bump in the night". Its a good read for that "dark and stormy night", pour yourself a glass of wine & curl up with this book, it won't disappoint.

Story line falls short.

As a rule, I have enjoyed the Coffee House Murder series but, this one falls short. Starts out great but falls flat in the middle & never regains the momentum of the beginning! Focuses mostly on Clair, Matt & Quin. The fun quirky baristas & Madam are basically left out of most of it. Still, I can recommend it to anyone who enjoys these stories & wants to have the complete series.
