Bigger than I thought.
The only problem we had is that it seemed wider than we were expecting having measured our gap. However, my husband was able to adjust it by cutting down one of the screws as the locking mechanism held got in the way of making it fit. Obviously this has voided the warranty and I wouldn't advise doing this if you are using it for a toddler but as it is for the dog, we weren't worried. Other than that little detail, it seems a mighty fine gate for the job!

A bit disappointing
Be very careful with this mug as you need much less water than you think or you get burned. I now make mine by putting half a cup of water in, pushing the plunger and then adding more water. As a thermal cup, it fails. They hole in the lid lets the heat out, it isn't terribly transportable as the water slops out so that didn't cut it for my husband. The final disappointment is how much sludge there is at the bottom of the cup of coffee. This product has real potential but the design just isn't right at the moment.
