Ruger Mags = Top Quality!
Ruger is among the top firearm manufacturers — their magazines are solidly built, precision fit, drop free for quick mag changes and have interchangeable flour plates to adapt to the owner’s need or preference. A+!

UTG has only gotten better...
They are increasing the quality of the brand. This unit is super clean and fits perfectly. It is designed to hold a red dot sight at the' perfect co-witness' level with BUIS and it does that. It's a winner! Their new line of Pro AR handguards are great as well. Keep it up UTG!

Updated an old design - heads up
Light pipes for this unit are 'formed' to fit. They no longer use a straight plastic optic that can be cut to size and replaced at low cost -- flame/heat required.
Order more in the color of your choice from Hi-Viz. if you need to fix a broken pipe on the fly and do not have one in the range bag you are out of luck. I commonly use green - I bought 6. No more cheap or free - postage will be more than the pipes. New ways. Sigh.
The Ruger front sight is plastic and easy to remove. The Hi-Viz is steel and requires careful fitting. Check the video on their website. Sandpaper AND a dovetail file will get the job done. A sight press will be easier but IF you press the sight in as-is you risk damage. It IS intentionally oversized (slightly) to gaurentee a great fit. That comes with care and patience.
The sight is a big improvement. I run more pistols with a similar configuration - light pipe in front and white paint dots (or square U for a Glock) in the rear. It's easy to train the brain to "go to the green" - makes for increased accuracy and acquisition! Works for me. Grade A for the new Hi-Viz.
