Do not leave unattended
This lamp holder is rated for 6 amps. I used it with a 500w bulb drawing 4.166 amps and had it on for 10 minutes while I adjusted the shot. I smelled something at 7 minutes and at 10 I noticed smoke and the rubber around the lamp had melted onto the bulb! I was able to cut out the bulb but the head was unusable. It worked very well at first and if you do not leave it on long you might be happy but do not leave it on long and unattended. I would give it another chance but it is melted beyond safe usage.
