The best thing for burns I have ever found.
Absolute MAGIC... if... you can be quick-thinking enough to get it straight on a burn within half a minute or less — the pain goes away, no blistering or scar, and the burn heals fast. But you've got to be REALLY FAST or it's like any other balm used as an afterthought.
Because it relieves pain I also use it on split skin on my fingers and cover with a bandaid. It also works wonders for cracked heels.
I find it safe for other off-label use such as cuts and abrasions, rashes and insect bites.

Accurate, battery lasts for ages.
The best thing about this thermometer is that it also has an external probe on a thin lead about a metre long. You could put that through your window to see the outside temperature by toggling between the unit and the probe, but I use the probe to monitor my computer on hot days so I can see its actual running temperature while the wall mounted unit gives me the room temperature (it is considerably warmer behind the PC box).
I have an old analogue bulb thermometer mounted on the wall near it, and they generally compare, the only difference being that the bulb thermometer reacts slower to changes in temperature.
The only negative is that the probe could be longer.
