The best all around starter Micro Four Thirds lens
For what these lens do they are amazing for the value.
I paired this lens with my video camcorder ag-af100 and since MFT's do 2x crop the 14-42mm is in essence using 28mm-84mm. In my case this is the sweet spot for frame sizing and overall depth capability.
I use the Panasonic pair for video and film making purposes, while the af100 is recording it just automatically focuses seamlessly with the lens and gives me a clear and sharp image immediately at whatever I am pointing at.
Even though the aperture is a relatively average f3.5-5.6 and is not as effective in low light situations as a f2.8, I find it relatively well in conjunction with a good lighting setup. I have also attached a follow focus that in my honest opinion the lens zooms real good with.
So overall I am amazed at the value for it's capabilities. I would definitely recommend these lenses for anyone who is looking for a great value starter lens for their Lumix and Panasonic cameras.
