One of the best.
2 of 2 found this helpful Beamrider is one of the most addicting games for the 2600. the enemy behavior changes with each level, and a variety of obstacles are introduced in the form of debris and other interactive enemy constructs. It's right up there in the best of games for this system, like H.E.R.O. (also highly recommended)
The cartridge does command too much money, but I was personally willing to overlook that.

Perfect if Protected
1 of 1 found this helpful I'm going to get the one negative remark out of the way before I blast away with the positive on this product; It's delicate. I broke mine in the field in Fort Drum NY during a weekend exercise. because this was such an excellent product, I'm purchasing another one regardless. I believe I will be more careful with it this time.
This camera is perfect for someone who wants to manually focus on their subjects. Unlike most point-and-shoot digital cameras, which focus on either the middle of the viewfinder or a recognized face, you can focus on a set distance of your choice; JUST LIKE AN SLR! As a hobbyist Photographer, this is probably the most important function to me. Most other point and shoot cameras already have EV compensation, Light balance, and other things such as manual ISO sensitivity, but rarely the ability to focus, and definitely not for a low price.
I did make the mistake of purchasing the Optio e80; thinking it would have this same function, which it didn't. The back-dated Optio e40 is perfect for someone who still wants a little control over their photography while planning with a budget or trying to keep portability.
This also makes a great backup camera for freelance photographers.

If you know Unix, Linux, BSD, Nexenta or any Debian with the gnu user-land, This phone is for you!
This phone is built with a fully functional debian package management system. It can run X applications with very minor drawbacks. drawbacks aside, It's still the ONLY phone that will currently run X applications natively.
I'm harsh on ease of use because, even as a Linux administrator, I was able to break this phone rather quickly while experimenting. Of course, I was also able to recover quickly as well. (Do not do an apt-get dist-upgrade. you will have to flash the phone)
Flashing is very simple on this phone compared to the AndroidOS phones that I've dealt with.
This phone is NOT catered toward the basic user. Its the perfect for people in the IT,IS,CE,CS, and admin fields.
Did I mention that perl is included in the default repositories?
