Always been spotty
1 of 1 found this helpful These C3/Red batteries have always had issues with showing defective when plugged into charger. 9 times out of 10 the batteries are still good but they just drain down to low to be recognized by charger. Then you have to jump off from another fully charged battery using alligator clipped wires to put enough charge into them to be recognized by charger. Look on YouTube to see how to do this. These batteries have doubled in price because Craftsman discontinued them and hopefully went to a better design.

Needed this for my 26 3/8” x 17 3/4” car...
