Schilke Standard Series Small Shank Trombone Mouthpiece in Silver 40B Silver

Well designed small diameter mouthpiece

The quality is excellent as I expected. I was looking for a small diameter mouthpiece that still allows somewhat decent lower range notes, and closer to trumpet size so I can double more easily. The medium cup allows pretty nice tone in the upper range. This mouthpiece won’t replace the tone and range of a wider diameter mouthpiece, but seems very good for high lead playing. I would also prefer the rim width slightly thinner. The inner edge cut is just right for me though, not too rounded.

Decent chromo harp for learning

The Chrometta is decent chromo harp for beginners. As a novice, you really need to learn your way around the instrument, taking your time to find the right notes on both sides of the slide and making smooth transitions. Notably, the hole design is not as refined as higher end models, but this instrument’s quality and price allow you to get a good start for when you’re ready to jump on to, say, the Chromonica
