Exactly what I needed
This is an Original new OEM part. It had a little surface rust on the hinge, but it will be concealed after installation. I had to return the first one I received because it had a small pinhole in it in an obvious spot. This second one fits my need.

Perfect Monitor for Business/Home Office
The ViewSonic VG2440 monitor is a great monitor for business and home office. It is a good size without being overwhelming. It has plenty of desktop surface to run your office programs. Pair it up with a second one if your CPU allows and you will have a great dual-monitor set up. It is a good looking monitor with easy to see and use adjustment buttons without having a huge brand name logo plastered on it. The ViewSonic logo is imprinted on the bottom center, but it blends in with the bezel, so it doesn’t jump out at you. I wanted a monitor with a little bit of a bezel showing because I have a third-party webcam that I mount to the top center. If there wasn’t a little bit of a bezel the webcam mount would interfere with my display by blocking the top center. This way, it’s out of the way.
The 1929x1080 HD resolution is perfect for a monitor this size. Photos, videos and movies look fantastic. The fonts on all of my office programs are crisp, clear, and easy to read.
The ergonomics and adjustments rival those on more expensive monitors. Height, Tilt, and rotation/pivot make adjusting this monitor to your liking a breeze. I have mine set on my home office desk and I can work several hours without fatigue.
I want to stress that this monitor is designed more for office related tasks. It is not designed for hard-core gamers. You can, however, play occasional games on it although the response will not be conducive to action or military-style games.
If you are looking for a sleek, functional monitor with a great picture for work or home office, you can’t go wrong with this monitor. I highly recommend it.
