Small clock/ radio
1 of 1 found this helpful I guess I should have read the specs on this item. It's a very small clock/radio. The sound quality is very poor but I guess it's expect for such a small item. The alarm is a very soft beep beep, if you're a sound sleeper forget, it will not wake you up. Overall I guess it's okay for the price. I ended up putting it in the living room where I had been intending a buying a clock for, this item will server that purpose, nothing more than a clock where there was none.

Monoprice RAIDON 4-Bay NAS Wi-Fi Cloud Storage RAID Enclosure
Was easy to set up and and it operates pretty good. If you're close by you can hear it but it's relatively quiet. Doesn't take up much space and runs cool. Felt no heat at all touching the unit days after power up and left running unlike other units I've had. Light and easy to move around, most of the weight is from the hard drives.
I purchased this item used as I was searching for an inexpensive unit to replace a unit I had that stopped working. So far I am impressed with it. First of all I only wanted a two bay device to mirror the drives so the two extra bays allowed me to use the second logical drive as a backup device. I primarily was looking for a NAS to use as the previous ones I've had as a media file server. This unit turned out to be perfect as it has a built in media server that is recognized on my home network which includes a domain. A great feature on this unit that was not on other NAS devices I've owned is it can be joined on the domain. This means I did not have to set up user accounts on the unit for all the users, it automatically assigned permissions based on AD accounts. So if you're looking for a solution to integrate on a small office/home domain, this unit is worth a look. Note you do not have to set it up as a media server if all you need is a file server. I have not set up the WiFi connection yet but plan to do so soon. So far I am very pleased all around with this unit considering all factors, price/value and performance.
