This One's a Keeper!

I decided to buy this book because I am a fan of David Rosengarten. I like his intelligent and witty approach to food and cooking. He offers a wide range of recipes, all of which include interesting and informative asides about them. I've tried several of his recipes, notably his moussaka and tuna noodle casserole, and they were met with rave reviews. This is a cookbook...not a coffee table book! It also makes fascinating reading when you're not using it to cook with. I have bought several for friends and family...all of whom now use it.

Quick read and good surprise at the end

While the premise was interesting, and the surprise ending was just that (for me), the book was a bit tedious and there was no description or character development of the two main characters, so we never really got to know them.
