The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly about the Zune HD
I first saw the Zune HD in a Fry's electronic store and was very impressed with the clarity of the screen. It actually looked more vibrant than the screen of the iPod Touch and was less expensive to boot. Now that I own both I can give you a fair opinion...The Zune HD in a nutshell-
Pros: The screen is gorgeous,with vibrant colors and a true black. The navigation experience is fantastic with an intuative touchscreen and wonderful artistic menus including pictures of the artists. The sound quality is fantastic, it blows the iPod away in this catagory. The device is light and small so it is easy carry around.
The Bad: With such a beautiful screen to watch a movie on it's a shame that you can't watch purchased digital downloaded movies on this device. The Zune software won't allow you to download copyrighted movies even if you have purchased them. This was a big bummer in my opinion. Pictures look nice, but since the screen in so small it's not an optimal device to view pics on.
The Ugly: The Zune seems to be the world's forgotten boy. It seems that Microsoft figured that they couldn't keep up with Apple so they just plain gave up. The apps on this device (or lack there of) is just inexcusable. Apps aren't everything, but they do complete today's mobile device experience. Also the browser is a joke compared to Zune's competitors.
To sum up: What the Zune HD does well, there is no comparison on the market. For what is included the experience is sublime. The sound quality and artwork alone make this a fun little gadget. If you are looking for a cheaper version of the iPod Touch you will be sorely disappointed with the lack of apps (somewhere around 15 compared to Apple and Droid's thousands offered). The phone like browser on the Zune HD and lack of digital download also make this device less attractive. But if you just don't care about those things, and you want a really cool mp3 player that is significantly cheaper than its competitors the Zune HD might just be for you.

I love these sun glasses.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my second pair of Bose frames. They sound great and in most cases people don't know you are listening to music. With the Tempo (2nd generation) Bose added a longer battery life volume control on the arm and USB-C for easy charging. These sunglasses are a serious upgrade from the first Gen which were really good to begin with.
