Audiophile Product on the cheap
If you are looking for a high quality CD player this is the one. This model is more traditionally seen in our country as the Technics SL-XP1. This is a TRUE audiophile component. Inside is a dual multibit R2R IC DAC with 4x oversampling to improve error correction. This is legitimately a top rate CD player with excellent tone and detail retrieval and an analogue sound signature. If you utilize the line out 3.5mm port on the back, it gives the cleanest signal at around 1V output. If you find one of these under $30, buy it and have fun having your mind blown that a 30 year old product can not only compete but outcompete most of the modern Delta-Sigma CD players on the market today, even many hifi components. Most non-audiophiles around me have agreed, the CD playback quality is noticeable and astonishingly good.
One downside, this thing drinks batteries. So get yourself some high draw NiMH rechargeables.
