Performed worse than a wore out Solas saturn
The only good I can say is it looks nice sitting on a desk.
Ran TP prop on a 14' John boat with a 25 mercury for about 3 min and returned to dock and replaced with 15 year old Solas saturn that is so wore down its missing an inch off each blade it is a 13p vs the TP 12p yet still has a better hole shot and holds at least as good in hard turns running fully submerged.
I could not bear one outing due to lack of performance and the increase in rpms without a tach motor seemed to be turning 300+ rpms more at the same speed cruising and even hit the Rev. Limiter once during my 3 min test.
Granted my boat is a rode hard 1978 Monarch that only achieves 33-34 mph WOT with one person and weighs about 260lbs with 6gal.of fuel I found the proformance of this prop unexceptable for the price.
I also run Smart Tabs 9.5" × 40lb. Boat will plane in under 20' the best $130 I put into my boat.
Moral of the story is save money and gas buy the cheaper stainless prop like Solas and spend saved money on Smart-Tabs.
Damage to Solas happened this past Saturday it is very thin from ware I will beat it into submission before next outing. I have to do this quite often.
