Just wont stay on

The lens hood looks great but the inside tracks are so worn that it just wont stay on the lens. The slightest movements or even making contact with the lens hood when you focus rolls it right off the camera lens. I have a separate lens hood for this camera with the same mounting system and it works just fine. I just wanted this one because the other gets in the way slightly.
