Brother CS 6000i Sewing & Quilting Machine

I have purchased several of these Brother sewing machines. Each one has come untested or without one or more parts, but when I added the missing parts, they work as they should. They are really good machines. They are easy to work with and will indicate when something is not right, whether the thread tension is not right or the machine is incorrectly threaded. Having a copy of the manual for this machine is helpful, but not absolutely necessary, although they can be downloaded online. An excellent feature of this machine is the ability to use it with or without a pedal. If one does not have a pedal, there are push buttons on the front of the machine to start and stop sewing and sewing speed can be adjusted with a switch on the front of the machine. There is another button to sew in reverse as well as a button to raise the needle to a neutral position after stitching. When that last button is used, the thread is never accidentally pulled out of the needle when the next seam is started. I have bought several of these machines for a 4-H Club sewing class and I bought one to replace my own older Janome sewing machine.
