Great subject - poorly executed.
This "book" measures 5.5" X 8.5" and is only about a quarter inch thick. The photos are grainy and of generally poor quality. I too served aboard the USS Oriskany and hoped this book would complement my three cruise books....it doesn't. There's some good historical information provided in the book (booklet?) but even with free shipping I can't say it's worth the $17.00 I paid for it. I'd have gladly paid much more for a quality publication.

Great watch and a pleasure to own.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is the second Marathon Navigator watch I've owned. My first watch was incredibly accurate and reliable and I have every reason to believe this new one will be as well. The Navigator is a lightweight watch and of a size that's perfect on the wrist. I have to say though that my first watch only lasted about eighteen years and then it just quit. If this new watch lasts that long I'll be more than pleased...in fact, it may outlive me. If there's one shortcoming it's that it comes with solid pins to hold the watchband as opposed to the spring loaded ones you'll usually find. Granted, this is a military watch but the solid pins will limit the type of watchband you can use. With a little effort you can remove them and replace them with a slightly larger size spring loaded pin and it will work fine. The date window in the newer watch is a great addition.

Just what I needed in size and function.
I bought this vise for use on a mini-bench top bench as used by Steve Latta and covered in a Fine Woodworking magazine article. For that purpose the size and price point was just right. So far it does what I need it to do and I'm pleased with it.
