Quality optical instrument, image stabilization effective, but not perfect. A bit heavy for hand-holding.
Images are sharp, no noticeable chromatic or spherical aberration. The stabilization is effective with small-displacement involuntary movement, but not as good with larger motion. It's necessary to be seated or otherwise braced somewhat to get steady views. The weight of 2.6 lbs does not lend itself to long periods of unbraced viewing as well. That said, it's a quality instrument and a pleasure to use. It was also a good value from this vendor. Delivery was much faster than expected, from Canada by air at no additional cost. The only downsides are the lack of objective lens protection and the low-quality case provided. It's little more than a dust shield, offering little to no protection from impact. I invested in a Harbor Freight Apache 2800 case, which is extremely robust.
