Old school electronics guy now retired, been working in the industry all my life. Started as a hobby, with older brother's help and encouragement built my first one tube regenerative short wave receiver before I entered grade school. Later on moved to to early HI-FI audio projects. Ham radio operator, active on 40M SSB morning nets.

    Works great with wide coverage on AM band. See attached photo. Please note the Tuning Capacitor is mounted on the left side of the image with plates partially opened and tune to AM 1470 KHz. I could hear well with no external antenna ( only a Ferrite Ros antenna) my favorite station KNX AM 1070 in the lower side of the band. Also the famous 1340 in Mohave California. Hoping to hear more stations at night when the sky waves kick in.
