Great guernsey patterns

First rate history of designs and patterns produced. This book is definitely for an experienced knitter. Excellent book. Every design is from a particular area of GB. Very interested as I am from the Whitby, Scarborough and Flamborough area. I always wondered how the patterns were so different.Knitting appears to be a dying art. I think it is because so many of the patterns are dated. Maybe we should be looking at a modern approach to the traditional guernsey so that we can kkep these wonderful patterns alive? I have already made one guernsey using different colours in quarters much like the polo shirt colours that younger people like to wear. My son loves it.
