Great kit! Very handy to have!
The steel strikes a great spark onto the charcloth, but it does get a bit hot when using the divot as a bearing block on a bowdrill. The blow tube is fantastic! Overall, for a primitive skills fire kit, I highly recommend it!

Good for the price
For some reason I thought this would be bright enough to use around the campsite, but it's just barely better than nothing at all for that. However, it's perfect for use inside your tent. I hate using most flashlights and other devices for light inside the tent, as they're too bright. Before this, I ended up using my cell phone -- not the flashlight app, just the face of the start screen. But this light casts a larger, more even light. If the bright setting was good for the camp site and the low setting good for inside the tent, then I would have given this 5 stars. (One disclaimer, I haven't used this on a long, multi-night trip yet, so I can't swear to its recharging ability under the tree canopy. I've been setting it on the kitchen window sill to recharge before my one-night trips.)

Perfect as a camping shelter!
Perfect size! It rolls up small to fit in a backpack, but makes for a HUGE shelter for camping (I no longer camp with a tent)! I haven't used it in stiff winds yet, but it held up well in a light, normal wind/breeze.
