Very happy
Big pot, great multi-ply bottom.
I've been making tofu but was using two pans because I needed a bigger pot. This large pot makes me very happy!! Soy milk, once it comes to a boil, boils up very fast and I've had a few too many spill-overs. This pot is big enough that that won't happen anymore. Plus, it's not likely to burn on the bottom of the pot. Love it.
Lady Fortescue Steps Out by Marion Chesney

Charming series by a favorite author
Lady Fortescue is old, a "poor relation" with just enough money to scrape by in Regency England culture. Her one main asset is her large, paid-for house in London. She determines to find others in like circumstances with whom to band together for a better lifestyle. The plot thickens quickly as with all Marion Chesney's (a/k/a M.C. Beaton) novels; in fact, the speedy and unpredictable movement of the plot is one of her great strengths, along with her well-described insight into the feelings, psychology if you will, of her characters; attraction, jealousy, greed, anger, joy, and you as reader can only agree that these feelings are appropriate for what's happening. These books are light but highly enjoyable reading; and since the series is complete, and the books can be purchased in "used" but perfectly good shape, what a bargain to be able to buy, read, and own the entire series, and now is a good time as the books will become more hard to find and possibly more expensive in future.

Takes 17 minutes to boil full pot of water
4 of 4 found this helpful I was initially disappointed in this pot because you are not supposed to use high temp with it on an electric range. This means water takes more time to boil. But I use medium-high heat (8 out of 10) with the little metal wire thing under the pot and it takes about 17 minutes to boil a full 12 cups of water. I love glass for its lack of toxicity. Very pretty when it boils, too! This is the largest glass water boiling kettle I've found at 12 cups. The handle gets rather warm after heating for 17 minutes, but it's still okay to pick up with my bare hand.
