Replacement antenna is the correct size and model but factory installation was too much to handle.
The antenna was the perfect OEM replacement but, through absolutely no fault to the seller, the installation of it is so brutal and time consuming, my mechanic friend who was helping me install it in a 1998 Toyota Corolla LE simply cut the antenna cord on the old unit (only the top metal antenna had fallen off) and spliced in this new one ... it fit perfectly on the exterior frame arm above the driver's side window ... but you would have to remove the entire dash cover just get the cabling connection through all the nooks and crannies to the back of the standard radio embedded in the dash. cost was very good but the installation sticks. Consider similar comparison to a head gasket - gasket is very cheap but incredibly labor intensive to put in.
