Genius mounting idea, solid, I love it, one flaw that you should be aware of.

This is a great Mount! I love how it works and how solid it is. Mounting is easy as well. The one complaint I have is that the mounting block fits so tightly into the part attached to the motor, and being made of composite, if the boat is sitting out in the sun and the motor is in my garage, The heat causes the mounting block on the boat to expand. The cooler mount piece from the garage has not expanded so they no longer mate together until they equalize. This turned out to be a REAL pain the other day when i could NOT mount the motor until after it sat in the sun for an hour. it stalled my fishing trip. So plan your timing ahead, or leave the motor mounted.
