If you want a FCC Part 90 accepted rig with extended 2m range, this is a great rig
1 of 1 found this helpful Purchased this as a Part 90 accepted unit for occasional volunteer work with USFS, just got it, but so far works great, Also fine for 2m amateur radio. (Also have the DJ 500TB HT for the same purpose). Picked up the RT systems software to make programming a breeze. So far, could not be happier.
fyi, Alinco also makes a DR438 440mhz, and a DR638 Dual Band that are also FCC Part 90 accepted for commercial use.

Stout mount
I tried one of the cheaper brands and the plastic base actually broke the first day. The hustler is worth the extra money, well built and strong. I use it with the hustler spring and ham sticks. Good piece of gear.
