"UPDATE"; Great "NEW" OEM replacement turbo for my 2004.5 3500 ram, 5.9L
2 of 2 found this helpful "UPDATE" to this review; ran my truck with a load today, engine would have been pulling approx. 19K (truck & Trailer), the turbo is working excellent, boost up to 38 PSI, one noticeable difference is this turbo is quite, and my truck sounds a little quitter when going sown the Hwy., the power curve is almost the same as the original OEM turbo. This turbo is a very good deal, if it holds up like this for a decade or more of use, I got my value out of it.
Had this unbranded, but manufactured by Bapmic, turbo and a new intercooler installed in my 2004.5 3500 ram, 5.9L, yesterday, so far it's running fine, put my foot into it to see how it would boost up, went straight up to 32lbs boost pressure. Will run it under a load with a loaded trailer over the weekend and see how it does. This is a brand new turbo, if they use high quality bearings, thrust plates and seals, it should last as long as the original turbo did, 16 years, and most of that pulling a load. If they would offer an extended warranty for three years, at a cost, that would make me feel more at ease with my purchase, otherwise, I would buy another one from them, and I do recommend this turbo for an OEM replacement. great TYC intercooler.
This intercooler is much thicker than the one that came with my truck new, it has more capacity, my truck breaths better and is much quitter than before, I also installed a new turbo with this.
