Excellent
3 of 3 found this helpful Read the book them watch the DVD's. It's fun to spot the very few difference between them. At the time it was the most expensive mini-series to make and it shows. One thing to kep in mind is it was made in the late 70's so if you are into special effects and glitzy stuff, you won't be impressed but if you are into a great story, like I am, and don't need all the extra flash then this is a great series to watch. It has very good acting,a nice background and again, an excellent story of how an area was developed and the people who made it happen.
