Excellent WiFi coverage throughout the house.
2 of 2 found this helpful I have been using the first generation Google WiFi routers (3 pack) for the past several years with decent coverage. However, I continued to experience several WiFi dead spots throughout the house especially in my garage and in the patio. The second generation Nest WiFi is a much improved product and it is backward compatible with the first generation units. So, when I installed these 2 pack google Nest WiFi units and supplemented them with my existing 3 pack Google WiFi units it resolved my WiFi problem. Now, I have full WiFi coverage throughout the house including in the garage and patio. Now my Tesla Model 3 parked in the garage can connect to WiFi and upgrade it’s software without any problem.

3 of 3 found this helpful I bought it with some trepidation because I thought that the installation would be tricky and difficult as it requires wiring. However, I was able to install it in about 30 minutes. I did call tech support to help me to connect it to our home Wifi. Once connected, it worked flawlessly. The image resolution is fantastic if it is provided with fast enough internet connection. We had some problem with our Wifi for a few days and we noticed some deterioration in the video quality during that period, but it improved after the Cox Cable technician came by and corrected the problem. It detects even the slightest motion such as tree branches fluttering in the wind, but you can adjust the motion sensitivity in the Ring app. I also installed in our backyard a Ring battery operated camera with a small solar panel to keep the battery fully charged and it also works flawlessly. My only complaint is the high list price, which is the reason I bought it on eBay. The eBay price is about $60 cheaper than Amazon. Now that Amazon owns ring, hopefully they may decide to lower the price to drive sales.
