On the fence...
1 of 1 found this helpful I am on the fence regarding this hammer. After using the rock hammer a few times in in the Sonoran Desert region, I notice the tip getting blunt. I was chipping away at a piece of sand stone, relatively soft, and after approximately 10 not so powerful blows I noticed the tip getting blunt. Not a good start. Everything else about the hammer is fine. The handle, the weight, the feel is all good. Stainless steel, but perhaps not the quality of steel or temper that can sustain long term use. I cannot help but wonder if spending a bit more money on an Estwing Pick Rock Hammer may have been the wiser move.

well designed tool
2 of 2 found this helpful Everything was as expected. Assembly was pretty simple, directions clear, and it appears to be a sturdy well built and designed tool. There was one carriage bolt and washer missing in the hardware pkg.
