A whole new perspective to photography
I didn't have a clue what I was doing when I bought this thing, so I crashed it a few times. Okay, more than a few times. Many, many times. The only thing that has happened is 17 broken propellers. Video and still pictures are better than I expected. Still haven't figured out everything that it does, or is supposed to do, but I think I'm getting there. For example, the camera is supposed to take DNG + JPG photos but so far I haven't figured out how to get it to take those DNG files. I work with DNG files with my DSLR cameras so it would really be useful to figure out how to get the DNG format. My only other complaint is the lack of a good all-encompassingn user manual. I have had to resort to the supplied manuals, the supplied videos, drone friends who know, and YouTube videos. Well, and experimentation, which is where the crashes come in.

An extraordinary lens at an extraordinary price.
3 of 3 found this helpful I rented the Tamron G2 before buying it. I take handheld pictures only of wildlife and landscapes. My goal was to determine if I could lug these behemoths for eight hours around places like zoos and wildlife refuges. I could. No problem.
The pictures are extraordinarily sharp throughout the range, and cropping 6000x4000px pictures provides me with the closeups that I have been wanting for so long.
The zoom ring rotates left to right, 150 to 600, which is a more natural and comfortable rotation (as opposed to the Sigma competition).
An extraordinary lens at an extraordinary price.
