low quality construction
3 of 4 found this helpful requires a lot of manipulation to get tougher vegetables to be processed. I bought this mostly for zucchini noodles and other softer produce. Cabbage, butternut squash, sweet potatoes are too much hassle. The plastic construction is flimsy and the turn crank seems to very cheaply made as the threading on the handle appears to be ready to strip after just one use. At $23.00... you get what you pay for.

Not Exactly Leak Proof
2 of 2 found this helpful the build on these is rather flimsy and I expected that they would not leak, since they are threaded to match the Mason jars. Wanted to use these to store pickled jalapenos in the refrigerator without having to deal with the two piece metal lids. You have to really tighten them down to keep liquid from dripping out... with the lid that tight, it's a bear to open the jar. Great for dry storage that doesn't require an air tight seal.
