Lionel Postwar 3469 operating coal unloading car
This particular item has been on my list of desirable items for some time. The design of the item seems pretty prototypical to me and all of the copies of this item have worked pretty well when I operated them on my layout. My kids and grandkids enjoyed them as well. To me, this item was worth what I paid for it.....

Wood and paper aircraft
1 of 2 found this helpful I don't know how I can rate this model accurately, as it is a wood and paper aircraft that is going to take quite some time to construct, when I actually get around to working on it. I personally would like to create the Naval Patrol version of this model, since I belonged to that community during my service years. The kit does look good and complete, but the result is going to be a long time in coming, so I can't rate this product beyond what I can see in the box. I can say that I would recommend this kit for an experienced modeler, who has a lot of patience.

Atlas box cars with the doors molded in place
I have few Atlas freight cars and I have always been very happy with their product. This time and a couple of other cars that I just recently purchased also, I was very disappointed. The box car doors would not open, much to my surprise and upon further inspection, I noticed that the doors are actually molded into the sides of the box car. THEY CAN'T OPEN! After inspecting the box that the item came in, I found no mention about the non-operating doors and I will be certainly wary about purchasing Atlas box cars in the future. If the items box, or the description of the item mentioned that the doors did not operate, then I wouldn't feel so disappointed. They DO look nice, but the doors DO NOT work.
